In February 2016 we purchased a 42 year old mobile home in New York State.
The home, sold by a private owner was purchased with the intent to "rehab" it for a permanent residence. It was "livable" but needed a lot of TLC and restoration.
Located in a mobile home community we had no idea that this "project" would soon turn into our passion. This is a blog about that passion and progress of our journey with a Mobile Home We Call Sylvia.
There is no explanation as to why within days we started calling this mobile home Sylvia. It just came to us,and the moniker stuck.
We are Sue and Kate, to "middle" aged women who with a little help from technical advisers at Home Depot, a lot of "online" research, design suggestions from the good folks on "Pinterest" and some good old fashioned head scratching are working our way from a "rags"to "riches" mobile home.
Join us on our journey as we transform "Sylvia" from a rag tag "trailer" into a little bit "Shabby Chic" and a little bit "Country" home.
